MacPractice EMR (Electronic Medical Records) Released

Lincoln, NE December 6, 2007 - MacPractice, Inc., developer of MacPractice MD, MacPractice DDS, MacPractice DC, and MacPractice 20/20, the leading Mac practice management and clinical software applications, announces the release of MacPractice EMR Ability for MacPractice MD. MacPractice MD with EMR (Electronic Medical Record) is the only single-vendor fully integrated EMR and practice management solution designed for Mac OS X.

MacPractice EMR is easy to use, affordable, time-saving, and customizable!

MacPractice, Inc. takes the forms physicians have been using for years and creates more efficient electronic versions for use with MacPractice EMR. The process takes just a few hours. MacPractice EMR is designed to make it easy for doctors to customize forms themselves.

Doctors can create and interact with clinical data including Health History and Clinical Notes with graphic annotations. Narratives are auto-generated with form data. Patient data entered elsewhere in MacPractice can be displayed on forms using "Pull Fields." Creating EMR forms automatically creates new tables in the MacPractice MySQL database.

MacPractice practice management software features Rx (prescription writing) with eprescribe development in progress, Notes (integrated word processing), Attachments, powerful scheduling, treatment plans, billing and other components which will become even more tightly integrated within MacPractice EMR as the interface rapidly evolves.

MacPractice users from a variety of specialties have pre-purchased MacPractice EMR, and MacPractice has recreated their forms. MacPractice keeps the cost to doctors low and reduces development time by sharing these forms with other clients. The Introductory Price for MacPractice EMR, available through December 31, 2007, is $2500 plus $500 annually for support and updates.

"We are very excited today to introduce the "Holy Grail" of solutions for a doctor's office, a fully integrated EMR, on Mac OS X. We look forward to continuously developing and enhancing MacPractice EMR for our users,'' said Mark Hollis, President of MacPractice.

1900 offices have chosen MacPractice to provide their practice management and clinical software and support. MacPractice supports 400 DentalMac, MediMac, and ChiroMac users.

Doctors are encouraged to register at MacPractice.com to view QuickTime demonstration movies of MacPractice EMR, MacPractice DDS, MD, DC, and 20/20.
