MacPractice EMR is a single-vendor INTEGRATED solution

Create electronic versions of your paper forms to store and interact with clinical data including Health History and Clinical Notes with graphic annotations. Display information entered elsewhere in MacPractice in your forms with "Pull Fields". Adding fields to your custom forms creates tables where patient data is stored.

To make it easy to develop interfaces rapidly, we use the most recent version of industry standard HL7 messaging in MacPractice.

We offer HL7 bidirectional bridges with cross platform and mixed platform EMR developers such as Spring Medical and ComChart. We have also developed text bridges to Mac and Windows applications and custom solutions.

MacPractice is designed to be an open environment and as such provides several methods of data export accessible by users and consultants to augment the capabilities of MacPractice.

MacPractice supports two options for users of MacPractice who wish to adopt EMR:

Option 1. Purchase MacPractice EMR, a single-vendor, all-in-one solution, supported and developed by MacPractice. MacPractice EMR requires minimal training for clinical users and office staff because it follows Apple's interface guidelines and is consistent throughout. MacPractice is the least expensive integrated solution and the easiest to use. MacPractice EMR users receive new EMR features in updates frequently provided under an annual support and enhancements agreement. Once MacPractice receives ARRA certification, an update
will be provided as well for no additional fee.

Option 2. Purchase MacPractice and a bridge to a third party EMR application. We recommend you consider Com Chart or SpringCharts® EHR. You may choose a mature, feature rich, and even CCHIT certified solution from a vendor exclusively focused on EMR. You can deploy your solution on a mix of Macs and PCs, and you can incorporate PC tablets into your office configuration. You may run your Windows EMR software on Macs alongside MacPractice. MacPractice Attachments integrates with EMR and MacPractice to provide a workflow for Lab results and transcription.
