MacPractice 3.0 Slated for 3rd Quarter Release

Lincoln, NE May 2, 2007 - MacPractice, Inc., developer of MacPractice DDS for dentists, MacPractice MD for physicians, MacPractice DC for chiropractors, and MacPractice 20/20 for optometrists, the first full-fledged healthcare practice management software applications designed especially for Mac OS X for PowerPC and Intel, announces MacPractice 3.0 to be released in the 3rd quarter of 2007.

MacPractice 3.0 is new server-based software establishing the foundation for future releases of MacPractice EMR, MacPractice Digital Radiography all to be released in 2007, and interfaces to many more third party clinical and accounting products. The initial release of MacPractice 3.0 separates accounting data from patient attachments making it possible for MacPractice 3.0 to back up accounting data to a .Mac account automatically, separately from photos, x-rays, scanned documents and files which may reside on a separate volume. With many more healthcare providers storing a greater volume of electronic clinical information, MacPractice 3.0 offers superior data management and security options.

Although the MacPractice 3.0 application will be able to perform higher end database functions on the server computer that enhance performance and usability, the server need not be a high end Mac nor use Mac OS X Server, and it may be used as a terminal for data entry with minimal impact on other MacPractice users.

Significant interface changes have been made to MacPractice 3.0 to further enhance user experience. MacPractice 3.0 expands the options available for doctors to create web interfaces with MacPractice's scheduling and accounting software. Interface changes are being implemented also to make MacPractice 3.0 more tablet-friendly.

"May 3 marks our 3rd Anniversary, and we are excited to announce another huge advancement to the MacPractice 3.0 platform. We will immediately leverage 3.0 to offer even more Mac OS X native capabilities to physicians, dentists, chiropractors and optometrists who prefer to use a Mac," said Mark Hollis, President.

1650 offices have chosen MacPractice to provide their practice management software and technical support. MacPractice also supports the use of DentalMac, MediMac, and ChiroMac by several hundred offices.
